Caregiver Support

It is critical that families learn techniques to use in their homes to help increase learning and reinforce positive behaviors. Caregiver meetings will consist of 1:1 teaching with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. In these sessions, the focus will be on family concerns and the techniques needed to address them. All members of your family are encouraged to come and learn the techniques that they can use when interacting with your child.

School Consultation

Sometimes children may have difficulty learning in a school setting. After gathering information and data from the teachers, it may be determined some accommodations could be made to assist your child. Our goal is to work alongside your child's teachers and coordinate the most effective strategies to promote learning in the classroom.

Behavior Intervention Plans

Behavior intervention plans consist of detailed instructions on how to increase positive behaviors while simultaneously decreasing targeted maladaptive behaviors. The plan is then implemented under the supervision of the BCBA by technicians and caretakers. Examples of targeted maladaptive behaviors are listed below:

- Self-Injurious Behavior such as head-banging, scratching, and gestation of non-edible items

- Aggressive acts such as hitting, kicking, biting, and property destruction

- Tantrums involving falling to the floor, running away, or other inappropriate acts when told "no" to desired items or activities

Direct Therapy

Direct therapy involves one-on-one instruction to support behavioral and learning skills. A child will work with one of our team members during a specified block of time to address any skills the family deems important to help with everyday activities. Depending on the needs of your child, this could range from toilet training, learning to interact with peers or siblings, and early learning skills such as responding to their name.
